Are the members of the Democratic Party who live in downstate Illinois brain damaged, or just sheeple willing to be led to the slaughter? Your leadership has been totally and completely overrun and corrupted by the Chicago Machine. And yet, you helped elect, then reelect, King Rod Blagojevich, who is on the path to becoming known as the most corrupt governor in the history of the state.

Senate Democrats in districts outside of Chicagoland had best be praying for some rain this summer, enough to wash out the roads and make it impossible for them to get to Springfield and debate the budget that Emil Jones will be supporting. Jones helped King Rod kill en masse most of the social service programs around the state last fall – and you can rest assured that Jones, firmly in the pocket of King Rod, will do the same this coming budget session.

What will be interesting to watch will be how many “special sessions” King Rod will throw in the face of the General Assembly this session, in his obvious attempts at bullying the House into doing what he says – and how many of those House members will even bother to show up. Madigan should sublet a room in the Governor’s mansion to avoid all that crazy driving between Chicago and Springfield during the off-session periods. It seems unlikely that the Blago Who Cried Wolf last year will get much in the way of a response this year – and probably won’t even see a quorum show up at his behest.

And where is Lisa Madigan, defender of the Illinois laws and Constitution in all of this brouhaha? Where are the charges of misfeasance that she should be leveling at King Rod and his cronies for improper use of State property for personal use? Yes, using a State owned vehicle, such as a car or plane, as a commuter vehicle without compensating the State IS illegal – even for the Governor.

Where is the House on drafting Articles of Impeachment, for King Rod’s attempt at usurping the Constitutional authority of the General Assembly with what has been ruled an illegal expansion of a health benefits program that the General Assembly chose NOT to fund?
