Blagojevich Lawyer Quinlan Has Staffers Scour Records
The depths to which Governor King Rod Blagojevich will go in order to hide from public scrutiny are purely astounding - being aided and abetted by his attorney William Quinlan and Abby Ottenhoff.
So much for his "open and transparent" government.
Ottenhoff, when queried by the Decatur Herald & Review on the nature of the search for documents related to Tony Rezko said:
""We don't comment on internal legal communications."
Umm... hello? Isn't Quinlan on the State payroll as the Governor's chief legal adviser? And didn't Quinlan enlist the many cronies, all feeding from the public trough, who King Rod has in positions of obfuscation... err... public service? Aren't these records PUBLIC records?
And what actions were taken FOLLOWING the notice to Quinlan of any records found - there's the BIG question that needs answered. Are there NO whistle blowers left in King Rod's administration, who aren't on administrative leave or been fired?
Wait - we're talking about the Blagojevich administration, where even getting records on public school performance takes a Freedom of Information Act request. What was I thinking.
Abby - get that resume circulating, you're going to be out of a job soon.
Blagojevich staffers did search for Rezko documents before trial started (Herald & Review) - SPRINGFIELD - A month before opening arguments were made in Antoin "Tony" Rezko's federal corruption trial, Gov. Rod Blagojevich's top lawyer issued a memo to the governor's senior aides. [King Rod - Yahoo]
