The United States Congress wanted intervention in a racially-motivated beating doled out by six students to one. Yet, none of them were calling for the U.S. Attorney General to file federal hate crime charges against the six - they wanted the six exonerated because they were black and the victim white.
If the victim had died, this would be called a lynching.
And the one facing the most serious charges has a previous conviction. For what, the article does not say, but the judge tossed him back in jail for a probation violation.
I'm having trouble seeing the justice here.
