Brady calls for special session legislation to curb Blagojevich Abuse of Power

Bill Brady of Bloomington wants King Rod Blagojevich, and any future governor, to stand before the combined General Assembly and personally explain the purpose for calling legislators into emergency session. Makes sense to me - if it truly is an emergency, the governor should be right there in the thick of things to get the situation resolved, not off on other errands.

But Brady should be promoting the constitutional convention initiative, not just an amendment which would take years to accomplish, when we could have a complete revision of the governing law in place in 2009.

Check with your legislator - are they promoting the constitutional convention? We have clearly seen that the current constitution of the state can be seriously corrupted by a corrupt and power-hungry governor.

Where is the call for impeachment, with King Rod's complete disregard for the appropriations approved by the Illinois legislature? Does NO ONE in the House have the guts to put King Rod on the defensive, and make him answer for his actions?
