Apparently King Rod Blagojevich has convinced his staff that Chicago is the capitol of Illinois, and not Springfield. Abby Ottenhoff, one of King Rod’s many publicly funded cronies, is quoted telling the Associated Press “We define the principal place of business as Chicago, and all the flights are billed accordingly.”

Abby, just what did you learn in the Colorado schools, that you have mistaken the capitol of Illinois as being Chicago, and not Springfield? I know that most students today don’t learn much geography. You have made it painfully obvious that Greeley’s schools totally failed you as a child.

However, your original education’s failures do not explain how little interest you have taken in the history of Illinois in your tenure as a state official, if you truly believe the principal office of the governor lies outside of the capitol. That would be akin to saying the principal office of Vladimir Putin is in Chicago, because the Russian government maintains an office there.

Ms. Ottenhoff, aren’t you in charge of King Rod’s thought police in all of the state agencies? Is this the kind of total bull you are expecting them to throw? Are you in control of the infoflow that should be freely available for the asking, but instead takes Freedom of Information Act requests for simple answers?
