Yeah... this is almost believable. The politicos are going to stop handing out gravy jobs to family and friends because of an online application process. Sure thing, I'm buying it. I believe in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, too.
What I would LIKE to know is how did this California company land the deal for this contract for $1.1 million, when there are already a multitude of highly skilled programmers working and living in Illinois - many of them in the EMPLOY of the state.
What was the bidding process? WAS there a bidding process? Who owns the company? Who do they know in Chicago?
