Oh, that Governor, King Rod Blagojevich, he is one FUNNY man. Why in the world would you move 150 jobs OUT of Springfield, a centralized location within the state, and make a state-wide agency more inaccessible. Oh... wait... the GOVERNOR'S office is in a corner of the state too, isn't it. Well, at least he thinks so.
King Rod, move the governing back to Springfield if you really give a rat's ass about "jobs" in "remote" parts of Illinois. Chicago, no matter what YOU may think, is NOT the state's capitol.
One way this movement could be killed - and it seems to work just fine for King Rod - is for the General Assembly to... now get this... just ignore his request and not have the hearings that such a move requires. I wonder if Mike Madigan is considering doing just that very thing. You can be sure Clown Prince Emil Jones will have them on the docket tuit suite on the Senate side.
Many opposed to Blagojevich's plan to move 150 Springfield jobs (The Pantagraph) - SPRINGFIELD -- Employees in the traffic safety division of the Illinois Department of Transportation are used to coming up with slogans for state programs, including “Click it or Ticket” and “Start Seeing Motorcycles.” [King Rod - Yahoo]
