Blagojevich Targets Franks With Selective Institutional Memory

Rep Jack Franks (D-Woodstock) was a loyal follower of old King Rod Blagojevich way back in the early days of the Governor's takeover of the state government for his personal pleasure. And way back in 2003, King Rod asked those loyalists to submit the names of people to fill up porky seats in state government, with hefty salaries and even heftier perks - so Jack be nimble, and he tried to get some family members some nice jobs, sorta like the one Clown Prince Emil Jones' wife got.

Well, Franks has finally wised up during the intervening 5 years to the dirty politics and corruption that has been the hallmark of King Rod's rule, and is now one of the primary backers of the movement for impeachment.

Amazingly, King Rod's new mouthpiece Lucio Guerrero was able to pull out of the rabbit hat the memo Franks submitted in response to King Rod's request, while continuing to hide the other others submitted from the 177-member General Assembly.

Well, it appears Lucio is even WORSE at covering up obvious bullshit when confronted by the question of "Where are the rest of those requests?" than was now-departed Abby Ottenhoff, who resigned from her nice $120K per year Deputy Governor's job of obfuscation... err... press secretary.

His answer: "“Maybe some of this venom that comes out of Rep. Franks has more to do with his wife not getting a job than it does about the governor.”

I doubt it, Lucio. If Franks was going to get pissed off about his wife not getting a porky handout job, I for one think he might have stepped to the plate a wee bit sooner than five years later. But of course, you're new around King Rod, arentcha, and you're being paid to hide the truth, so what else can we expect.

New: Blagojevich: Franks wanted pals to get state jobs (Northwest Herald) - Democratic State Rep. Jack Franks has been a constant and vocal critic of embattled Gov. Rod Blagojevich, to the point of asking for the governor’s impeachment. [King Rod - Yahoo]
