Governor King Rod Blagojevich obviously sees the handwriting on the wall. With federal prosecturors feverishly drilling convicted influence peddler, and Blagojevich insider, Tony Rezko, King Rod is due up on the Attorney General's hit parade of corrupt politicians.
And why should George Ryan be released early? His Licenses for Cash program that lined his campaign coffers and personal pocket is also attributed with leading to the deaths of at least three people, and the injury of many more, when illegally licensed and untrained drivers of big rigs crushed or crashed into passenger vehicles.
The leader of the charge to release George Ryan - Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois - should be the next clown thrown from office. Durbin seems like a nice enough guy, but from the bit of correspondence I have had with him, clueless about the macro-scale issues this country is facing - so he's chosen this one to champion?
