Well, King Rod Blagojevich is at it again this year, stalling the state budget. Technically, all of the employees of the state should be on unpaid furlough right now and every state agency, other than emergency services, shut down. And King Rod says he's looking at the unbalanced budget looking for the appropriate areas to slice and dice with his line item veto authority, which he so callously used as a political weapon last fall.

Senator John McCain took a step away from the philosophy of President Bush and Veep Dick Cheney yesterday in a speech to Big Oil representatives, according to Reuters saying: "In the face of climate change and other serious challenges, energy conservation is no longer just a moral luxury or a personal virtue. Conservation serves a critical national goal."

The Illinois Republican Party is hard at work in Decatur discussing how best to combat the rising tide of influence, nd power, and corruption of the Chicago Democrats, not just on the state scene where the Machine of Corruption already holds total domination, but also how to stop them from taking hold of the White House.

A tough week for Governor King Rod Blagojevich in a short four day span. A discrimination lawsuit against him is moving forward, an independent auditor sampling a minuscule portion of the state's contracts found some hanky panky going on with how King Rod doles out our tax dollars - and his buddy Tony Rezko gets indicted in Nevada for more gambling related shenanigans. Oh - and the House has collectively told him to kiss their ass on the budget.

The financially beleaguered Illinois Teacher's Retirement Fund had a little help into falling into its woes, courtesy of King Rod Blagojevich's cronies. The Chicago Democrats - the people who helped spawn Senator Barack Obama's meteoric rise into political superstar status, should be so ashamed.

As the two remaining Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, continue duking it out with ever-dirtier tactics and language, you have to wonder what the McCain posse is up to as far as selecting a suitable running mate to serve as his vice president.

Let's take a look at the core tenets and value system of a mythical organization - and find out what Barack Obama supporters have to say to them:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the White community
3. Commitment to the White family
4. Dedication to the pursuit of education
5. Dedication to the pursuit of excellence

This falls into the "Oh, duh, ya think?" category of reporting. Like, it took a poll to figure that out? Just ask the common guy sitting next to you at lunch, doesn't matter their race or religion. Senator Barack Obama's speech was nothing short of oratorical brilliance, but even that will have trouble defending the words that, if they came from a Caucasian, would brand him a racist.

At least Obama and Clinton have found their records, or more appropriately, NON records, on energy policy to be fodder for sniping.

We as a nation desperately need to focus our efforts on renewable energy sources. Sources that do not rely on the combustion of any substance, whether it be oil, alcohol, or radioactive substances. You talk of change - it is time for a total paradigm shift when it comes to energy policy.
