Awhile back, I wrote to Senator Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain, and posted a copy of that letter here. And Senator Obama replied. Here is what he had to say.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both have a huge credibility issue - trying to play themselves off as "regular folks." Neither is "regular folks" from where I sit - and I wish the people with the straight party mentality would wake up and smell the coffee.

Well, this is a start. At some point, perhaps we'll have leadership in Washington, a la Dwight Eisenhower, who will also see the value of finding the best and brightest and making sure they receive an education that will benefit us all, regardless of their financial ability to pay.
